National History
Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Incorporated was established on April 6, 1987 at Texas Tech University by four devoted friends, Cinthya Garza, Nellie Flores, Irene Montoya, and Melissa Montoya, who recognized the need to unify and promote leadership amongst Hispanic women at their university. The Purpose of Kappa Delta Chi is to promote the values of Unity, Honesty, Integrity and Leadership among women at colleges and universities. Through numerous service events, sisterhood retreats, and academic and cultural workshops, sisters are determined to make a difference both in their university and in the community. Through the hard work and dedication of all its members, Kappa Delta Chi is now one of the strongest Latina-based sororities in the country, and is proud to have the reputation of the most powerful network among Latinas leaders.

Chi Chapter History
Charter Class of Chi Chapter
Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc. established Chi Chapter on the campus of University of Texas at San Antonio on May 7, 2000. The seven women we recognize as our charters are as follows: Beatrice Alaniz, San Juanita V. Bustamante, Michell Frausto, Raquel Frausto, Elizabeth Gonzalez, Vanessa Silva, and Carla Janette Villegas wanted to bring this growing organization of strong women leaders on to the campus. Chi Chapter is now 21 years strong at UTSA growing and making an impact yearly on campus and in the community as part of the Multicultural Greek Council.
